In order to encourage and facilitate more voters to partake in the Osun state election, The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), extended the collection of Permanent Voter Cards to July 14, which was yesterday, for those interested in exercising their franchise in the Osun governorship election.

The electoral body, has also vowed to ensure a transparent and credible governorship election on Saturday.

The INEC chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu, said that the commission has listened to stakeholders across the board who emphasised transparency, inclusivity, and credibility of the election, as well as security and peaceful conduct of the exercise.

To discuss INEC’s readiness for Saturday’s showdown, is Festus Okoye, INEC National Electoral Commissioner for Information and Voter Education.
