He said the ruling is victory for the nation’s constitutional democracy and the rule of law.
However the PDP has protested, declaring he can’t run Ondo State from Oyo State.
He said the PDP became “a divided house” which led to a split of votes between PDP and Labour Party.
“The appellant should have produced credible evidence to sway the court to rule in his favour. Having not done so, there’s no amount of sentiments that will determine the judgment.”

“I urge all my supporters to be calm and peaceful as their mandate is not lost.”
They urged “lovers of democracy” to stay optimistic, saying that a new Nigeria is still possible.
He assured of diligently serving Nigerians irrespective of political, tribal or religious differences and pledged to exceed expectations.
It dismissed petitions brought by Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi.
It said transmission was merely mentioned in the electoral guidelines and manual of INEC.
“The dismissal was on the grounds that the witnesses had a stake in Labour Party, making their testimonies likely to be in the party’s favor.”
