Buhari Reappoints Runsewe, Coker as CEOs in Nigeria’s Culture and Tourism Industry  

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the reappointment of some Chief Executive Officers in Nigeria’s culture and tourism industry.   Otunba Segun Runsewe will serve as Director-General of the National

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the reappointment of some Chief Executive Officers in Nigeria’s culture and tourism industry.

 

Otunba Segun Runsewe will serve as Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC) for another term of four years, a position he assumed in 2017. 

 NCAC is dedicated to the development and promotion of the best of the living arts and cultures of Nigeria.

 

Mr Folorunso Coker was also reappointed as the Director-General of the Nigeria Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC), an agency of responsible for the overall development of tourism in the country. His original tenure also began in 2017.

 

In addition, Alhaji Adedayo Thomas will return as Executive Director, National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB), a regulatory body set up to regulate films and video industry in Nigeria.

 

The reappointments were announced by Garba Shehu, President Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and publicity.


The President also approved the appointment of Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed as the Chief Executive Officer /Artistic Director of the National Troupe of Nigeria, the country’s official performing arts institution

 

Alhaji Ahmed was, until his appointment, Director of Culture in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Bauchi State.
