British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua has confirmed that his long-awaited heavyweight fight against Tyson Fury will take place on December 11.
Joshua announced the date in a post on his social media account.
The bout is scheduled to take place at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
Joshua and Fury have been linked with a fight for almost a decade, dating back to when both boxers were at the peak of the world heavyweight division.
The fight has been scheduled twice previously, but both attempts fell through.
The upcoming bout will be Joshua’s second fight since he defeated Kristian Prenga by second-round knockout in July 2026.
The 36-year-old had recovered from two first-round knockdowns before stopping the Albanian in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Months earlier, Joshua narrowly survived a car crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway during the 2025 Yuletide holiday in Nigeria.
The accident claimed the lives of two of his close friends, Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele.
