Nigerian singer Zlatan and his partner, Davita Lamai, have announced plans to hold a wedding celebration, sharing the news with friends and colleagues during a private jet trip to businessman and music executive Soso Soberekon’s wedding.
The announcement was made over the weekend while the couple travelled with other entertainers and guests to businessman and music executive Soso Soberekon’s wedding. A video from the flight, which has since circulated on social media, showed Davita inviting those on board to attend the celebration, although the couple did not reveal when it would take place.
Before the announcement, Teni introduced the couple to other passengers, saying, “so Zlatan and his wonderful wife are going to be having their wedding.”
Davita then addressed those on the flight, extending an invitation to the guests.
“I just want to extend an invite to everyone. I’d love to have you all there. It will be so nice to have everyone there,” she said.
The announcement comes months after public speculation over the couple’s marital status. Earlier this year, Zlatan dismissed claims circulating online that he and Davita were already married, stating that she was the mother of his children and criticising the spread of unverified information.
Speculation later intensified after the couple shared family photographs wearing matching rings, while Davita also adopted Zlatan’s surname, Omoniyi, on her Instagram profile.
Subsequent reports indicated that the pair had quietly held a private civil wedding ceremony in December 2025 with only close family members and loved ones in attendance. Details of the ceremony later surfaced publicly after photos and videos from the event were shared online.
Zlatan and Davita share two sons and have frequently appeared together at family and public events. Their latest announcement has now shifted attention to their planned wedding celebration, which is expected to bring together family, friends and invited guests on a larger scale.
