A woman identified as Osarobo Osarenoma Odigie has demanded ₦395 million in damages from popular TikTok content creator Peller, accusing him of defamation, cyber harassment and invasion of privacy following an incident at a Lagos lounge.
The incident reportedly occurred on January 6, 2026, at Folixxx Lounge along the Lekki-Epe Expressway in Lagos. According to her legal representatives, the dispute began after the TikToker allegedly posted a video of Odigie at the lounge counter while she attempted to purchase food.
In the clip shared online, Peller reportedly described her as a “hater” after she allegedly told him he was being too loud at the venue.
In a letter dated March 10 and issued by her lawyers, Odigie alleged that the video and accompanying comments were defamatory and had subjected her to widespread ridicule online.
“The result of your actions, in particular, the untrue and defamatory statements as well as breach of her privacy and right to be forgotten, has since led to our client being exposed to public ridicule both online and offine,” the letter reads in part.
The legal team further claimed that the circulation of the video across multiple social media platforms had triggered harassment and threats from members of the public.
“She has also been unjustly met with harassment, cyberbullying and cyberstalking by persons of the public all motivated by your disparaging remarks against her.
“Our Client has suffered significant emotional distress and has developed genuine fears for her safety. Without prejudice to Our Client’s right to commence legal proceedings and seek all avallable remedies under the law, we have her firm instructions to state that all words and expressions used against her person (whether written, oral, or otherwise pubilished), whether or not specifically referenced in this letter, are false, malicious and highly defamatory.”
Odigie is demanding that the TikTok creator immediately stop making any further statements about her and permanently delete the video from all social media platforms.
Her legal representatives also asked that Peller ensure that bloggers and other websites that reposted the video remove it from their platforms.
In addition, the letter requested that he issue a public apology across all his social media accounts and publish a retraction in two national newspapers, The Punch and The Guardian, while urging his followers to refrain from any harassment or threats directed at her.
The letter further outlined financial demands totalling ₦395 million, including ₦200 million for alleged defamatory publications, ₦100 million for emotional trauma and reputational damage, ₦75 million for harassment allegedly triggered by the viral video, and ₦20 million for legal fees payable to FA Garrick & Co..
Her lawyers warned that failure to comply with the demands within seven days would result in immediate legal action.
“TAKE NOTICE that should you fail, refuse, or neglect to comply with the foregoing demands within seven (7) days of receipt of this letter, Our Client shall, without further recourse to you, institute appropriate legal proceedings against you.
