‘We Stand Firm’, Maduro’s Son Sends Defiant Message To Detained Father

Maduro’s son has pledged resilience and unity, assuring his detained father that Venezuela remains strong and awaits his return

The son of detained Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro delivered an emotional message of solidarity to his father and mother, Cilia Flores, during a session of Venezuela’s National Assembly on Monday

Speaking from the floor of the congress, where he serves as a lawmaker, Nicolás Maduro Guerra praised his father’s leadership and assured him that the family and his supporters remain steadfast in his absence. He said the experience had strengthened them and vowed that they would continue to carry out what he described as Maduro’s duty to the nation until his return.

Addressing his father directly, Maduro Guerra told him that Venezuela was “in good hands” and expressed confidence that the family would soon be reunited. He also offered words of comfort to his mother, saying she would see her children again, and emphasised that their bond remained unbroken despite the current circumstances.

He said, “And to you dad, I tell you: you made all of us in the family strong people. Here, we are fulfilling your duty until you return. The motherland is in good hands, dad and soon we are going to hug here in Venezuela. And you’re going to see the kids. Cilia, you’re going to see them. Cilia, we will see each other. Long live Venezuela. Long live the homeland. And here we stand firm for whatever we need to do for our homeland.”
