Oil theft and illegal refinery operations in Rivers State have been blamed for the pollution of air quality in the state and posing a grave health risk to residents.
The governor early this week ordered the 23 local government area chairmen in the state to destroy all illegal crude oil bunkering and artisanal refinery sites in Rivers State.
