The minister of state for labour and employment, Festus Keyamo, announced on live television on Monday, that microblogging platform Twitter has agreed to all of the federal government’s conditions, for its suspension in Nigeria to be lifted.

In another development, the Governor of Cross River State, Professor Ben Ayade, on Monday, suspended the 2021 annual Carnival Calabar, due to the outbreak of the new coronavirus variant Omicron.

Meanwhile in Uganda, a man hawking grasshoppers to passengers inside a Uganda Airlines flight has gone viral.

The video prompted the country’s Minister of Works and Transport Gen Edward Katumba to order the immediate suspension of the airline’s cabin crew, who were on duty while the man hawked the grasshoppers.
