Trump Says ‘Ceasefire Is in Effect,’ Warns Israel To ‘Not Drop Those Bombs’ on Iran

Trump has urged Israel To not carry out threatened airstrikes on Iran, reiterating that the ceasefire is still in place

US President Donald Trump has called on Israel to halt its latest military operations against Iran, reiterating that the ceasefire he announced remains in effect, even as alleged fresh missile exchanges raise concerns of renewed escalation.

In a post on Truth Social, the president wrote, “Israel is not going to attack Iran. All planes will turn around and head home, while doing a friendly ‘plane wave’ to Iran. Nobody will be hurt, the ceasefire is in effect! Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Trump added that both sides had violated the ceasefire agreement announced earlier this week but stopped short of blaming them directly.

“I’m not sure they did it intentionally,” he said. “I don’t like the fact that Israel went out this morning at all. And I’m going to see if I can stop it.”

Responding to Israel’s threats, Trump urged them to “not drop those bombs” on Iran

He also stated that Iran “will never rebuild its nuclear” capabilities and expressed displeasure with Tehran’s conduct.

The comments follow heightened tensions. Israel’s military said it had intercepted a missile launched by Iran, though Tehran denied any such launch and warned that “any further aggression will be met with a decisive, firm, and timely response”.
