While investors and the stock market have reacted positively to the President’s Economic Policy Direction, Members of Organised Labour under the aegis of the Nigeria Trade Congress and Trade Union Congress have described the president’s pronouncement as outrageous and insensitive to Nigerians economic plight.

Peter Obi is asking the court to nullify Tinubu’s victory alleging widespread irregularities during the presidential election and Tinubu’s ineligibility to contest the election. Obi’s lawyer tendered the documents purporting to be the US court’s decision awarding $460,000 fine against the president for illicit drugs trafficking imposed by the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois. In the meantime, Peter Obi in a series of tweets, on Monday stated that he is aware of some evil designs against him, and his supporters in the coming months.

His statement coincided with the inauguration of president Bola Tinubu at the Eagle Square in Abuja.
