President Bola Tinubu has rejoiced with his Chief of Staff, Hon Olufemi Hakeem Gbajabiamila, on his 63rd birthday on June 25, 2025.
Gbajabiamila, a lawyer, served as Speaker of the House of Representatives from 2019 to 2023. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2003, representing the Surulere Constituency of Lagos State and served in the House for six consecutive terms and was both Minority and Majority Leader at different times.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, the President underscored Gbajabiamila’s salutary contributions to Nigeria’s fledgling democracy and the legislature, where he spent much of his political career.
President Tinubu also noted Gbajabiamila’s commitment to the development of Lagos State, particularly his Surulere constituency.
The President encouraged his Chief of Staff to continue supporting him in implementing the Renewed Hope Agenda to create a better, more economically viable, and more prosperous Nigeria.
He wished Gbajabiamila a long life and good health.
Also on Wednesday, wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu celebrated Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on his 60th birthday.
In a four-paragraph birthday message entitled ’60 Hearty Cheers to Mr. Governor!,’ the First Lady in rejoicing with the Kagos Governor on attaining the Diamond age stated, inter alia:
“I join your family, associates and well-wishers to celebrate you on your attainment of 60 years of a glorious life.
“Your dedication to service has set you apart as an exemplary leader.
“As you mark this special day, may you be blessed with more wisdom, strength, and divine health to fulfill your God ordained purpose and I wish you many more years of success on earth.
“Congratulations and Happy 60th Birthday.”
