Nigeria’s Super Falcons secured their record 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title in Rabat, Morocco, with a dramatic 3-2 comeback victory over the hosts.

Jennifer Echegini scored the winning goal in the 88th minute, while Esther Okoronkwo was named Player of the Match.

Captain Rasheedat Ajibade received the Best Player of the Tournament award, and goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie was named Goalkeeper of the Tournament. The team also received the Fair Play Award.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu publicly congratulated and celebrated the team’s historic achievement.

In other news, former Rivers State Governor and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike received a Doctor of Science degree from the University of Port Harcourt for his contributions to public service and urban development.
