Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has appointed Eight New Commissioner-nominees that would add value to his administration within the next nine months in office.
Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Dr. Danladi Jatau made the announcement while reading Governor Sule’s letter during the House proceedings in Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital.
The Speaker listed the New Commissioners to include Muhammad Habeeb Nagogo from Wamba LGA, Ahmed Yakubu Mohammed from Lafia LGA, Hon. Mohammed Baba Shehu from Keffi LGA.
Other are “Hon. Mohammed Iyimoga Oyigye (Obi LGA), Adamu Rabecca Kpadji (Wamba LGA), Nawani Aboki (Doma LGA), Jibril Abdullahi Ibrahim FCNA (Nasarawa LGA) and Ashefo Daniel Paul from Lafia LGA,” he said.
The Speaker, however, directed the Clerk of the House to communicate to the Commissioner nominees to submit 30 copies of Curriculum Vitae (CV) and appear for their screening on Friday, August 7, 2026 at the State House of Assembly.
It would be recalled that the Nasarawa State Government had on July 22nd announced a minor cabinet reshuffle involving six Commissioners, as part of efforts to reposition the administration for the delivery of its remaining mandates ahead of the end of tenure.
The Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government, Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, SAN, disclosed this while briefing journalists at the end of a State Executive Council meeting which was held in Lafia, the state capital.
The SGS explained that the six Commissioners were asked to step aside as part of a minor adjustment to the cabinet.
He further listed the affected portfolios as the Ministries of Works, Women Affairs, Information, Lands, Science and Technology, and Security and Other Sundry Matters.
