Six Injured in Suspected Terror Attack at Colorado Mall During Pro-Israel Event

Six injured after man attacks pro-Israel event in Boulder, using firebombs and flamethrower-like device, FBI calls it terrorism.

Six people were injured after a man allegedly launched a violent attack using firebombs and a makeshift flamethrower during a peaceful pro-Israel gathering at an outdoor mall in Boulder, US authorities said.

The FBI is investigating the incident as a “suspected act of terrorism,” which occurred during a weekly event held in support of Israeli hostages. Witnesses say the attacker shouted “Free Palestine” before igniting Molotov cocktails and setting fire to demonstrators.

The suspect, identified as 45-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman, an Egyptian national whose US visa reportedly expired in 2023, is now in custody. Federal agents confirmed Soliman used improvised incendiary devices and a flamethrower-like weapon to target the crowd.

Video footage from the scene shows bystanders rushing to assist the injured, some of whom suffered burns and trauma from the chaos. Emergency services responded quickly, and the wounded are being treated in local hospitals.

Israel’s Foreign Minister described the incident as a “terrible antisemitic terror attack targeting Jews,” urging US authorities to take firm action.

Authorities have not yet confirmed a formal terrorism charge but say Soliman’s motive and immigration status are under review. The FBI, Boulder Police, and the Department of Homeland Security are jointly handling the investigation.
