Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has officially unveiled its new Galaxy S26 series, promising the “most intuitive, proactive and adaptive Galaxy AI experiences yet,” designed to simplify everyday tasks and allow users to focus on what matters.
The series, which includes the Galaxy S26, S26+, and the flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra, builds on Samsung’s decades of innovation in display and AI technology. It integrates powerful hardware, an industry-leading camera system, and advanced AI to handle complex tasks quietly in the background.
“We believe AI should be something people can depend on every day, designed to work consistently for everyone and without the need for expertise,” said TM Roh, Chief Executive Officer, President, and Head of Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung Electronics. “With the Galaxy S26 series, we focused on making AI feel effortless, working quietly in the background so people can focus on what matters.”
The Galaxy S26 series features a seamless camera system that combines capturing, editing, and sharing into one integrated process, enabling users to unleash their creativity without requiring professional tools or technical knowledge. The AI works proactively, anticipating user needs and reducing the number of steps required to complete tasks on the device.
At the top of the range, the Galaxy S26 Ultra introduces the world’s first built-in Privacy Display for mobile phones, reinforcing Samsung’s commitment to user privacy at a pixel level while unlocking a new class of display experiences.
Powered by a customized Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, the Ultra model delivers significant improvements across CPU, GPU, and NPU performance. Samsung reports a 19% increase in CPU performance, a 39% boost in NPU performance, and a 24% improvement in GPU performance, enabling smoother multitasking, richer visuals, and seamless AI features.
To maintain these gains, the Galaxy S26 Ultra features a redesigned Vapor Chamber with thermal interface material along the sides of the processor, improving heat dissipation for consistent performance during gaming, multitasking, or video capture. Super Fast Charging 3.0 reduces downtime, allowing the device to reach up to 75% charge in just 30 minutes.
The entire Galaxy S26 lineup is designed for all-day reliability, combining customized chipsets, upgraded thermal management, and AI performance optimizations to ensure that demanding tasks run smoothly and consistently. Samsung describes the experience as giving users “the confidence to depend on their phone throughout the day without compromising security or privacy.”
With the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung appears to be doubling down on AI integration and privacy-focused innovation, promising users a device that is not only more powerful but also smarter and more intuitive than ever before.
