Qatar Condemns Zamfara Village Attack, Condoles With Nigeria Over ‘Dozens Dead’

Qatar condemns Zamfara village attack whlch left dozens dead, expresses condolences to Nigeria, hopes for safe return of abducted women, children.

The government of Qatar has strongly condemned the recent attack on a village in Zamfara State, which resulted in dozens of deaths and the abduction of several women and children.

In a statement issued on Monday in Doha, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar denounced the violence and reiterated the country’s firm stance against terrorism and criminal acts.

“The State of Qatar voices its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack that targeted a village in Zamfara State, northwest of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, which led to dozens of deaths and the abduction of a number of women and children,” the ministry said.

The ministry stressed that Qatar maintains a clear position against all forms of violence regardless of the motivations behind them.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates the State of Qatar’s stance rejecting violence, terrorism, and criminal acts, regardless of the motives and reasons,” the statement added.

It also conveyed sympathy to the victims’ families and expressed solidarity with Nigeria while hoping for the safe return of those abducted.

“The Ministry expresses the State of Qatar’s condolences to the families of the victims, and to the government and people of Nigeria, wishing for the safety of the abductees.”
