PSG Defeat Arsenal to Book Spot in UCL Final Against Inter Milan

PSG edge past Arsenal to earn a place in the UEFA Champions League final against Inter Milan.

Paris Saint-Germain overcame a dominant start from Arsenal to secure a 2-1 win on the night and a 3-1 aggregate victory, booking their place in the UEFA Champions League final.

Goals from Fabian Ruiz and Achraf Hakimi ensured the French champions advanced to the showpiece match, where they will face Inter Milan in Munich on 31 May as they continue their pursuit of a first-ever Champions League title.

Arsenal, trailing 1-0 from the first leg, started strongly at the Parc des Princes, with goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma called into action several times. However, the Gunners failed to capitalise on their early pressure, and Ruiz punished them in the 27th minute with a powerful left-footed strike past David Raya.

PSG missed the chance to extend their lead when Vitinha’s penalty was saved by Raya in the 69th minute, following a controversial handball decision. But just minutes later, Hakimi added the second with a precise finish that left Raya rooted.

Bukayo Saka gave Arsenal hope with a goal in the 76th minute but missed a clear opportunity to equalise shortly after, sending his shot over the bar as the North London side fell short of reaching their first final since 2006.
