The Police Service Commission (PSC) has raised concern over the circulation of false information on various social media platforms and unverified websites, alleging that the Commission has opened a recruitment portal for entry into the Nigeria Police Force.
In a statement by the Head of Protocol and Public Affairs, Torty Kalu, the PSC warned the public that these publications are entirely fake and designed to mislead.
He noted that the claims were the handiwork of fraudsters seeking to deceive and exploit unsuspecting citizens.
The Commission emphasised that no recruitment exercise into the Nigeria Police Force is currently underway, and no recruitment portal has been opened by the PSC.
It further explained that any genuine recruitment announcement will be released exclusively through official and verifiable channels, including advertisements in reputable national newspapers, announcements on the Commission’s official website and press release
“The public is strongly advised to disregard any unofficial recruitment notices and rely solely on information from authorised sources to avoid falling victim to scams,” the Commission warned.
The PSC also urged citizens to report any fraudulent recruitment portals not published on its official website to the police without delay.
