Chinese autonomous driving company Pony.ai is expanding its global robotaxi operations, with its overseas pipeline exceeding 4,000 vehicles as revenue from the service recorded strong growth.
The company announced the development while reporting strong financial results for the second quarter, with revenue rising 68.8% year on year to $36.2 million.
Robotaxi operations recorded particularly strong growth during the period, with revenue from the service increasing 691.2% from a year earlier and accounting for one-third of Pony.ai’s total revenue for the first time.
Pony.ai CEO James Peng said the company would continue executing its plans for the remainder of the year and expressed confidence that robotaxi services revenue would exceed its full-year target.
“We remain focused on delivering our full-year objectives and are confident that robotaxi services revenue will surpass our target,” Peng said.
The company expects full-year revenue from robotaxi services to exceed three and a half times the amount recorded in 2025.
The latest results underscore the rapid expansion of Pony.ai’s robotaxi business as the company scales its autonomous mobility services across China and international markets.
