Nigerian dancer and socialite Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has been charged in the United Kingdom with five sexual offences, according to a reports.
The charges include attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
Snaresbrook Crown Court in London confirmed the charges on Wednesday and said a reporting restriction had been imposed to protect the anonymity of the complainant.
James Baker, the court’s Admin Team Leader, confirmed the charges in an email to The Punch.
“The defendant has been charged with: Attempted rape, 2x Rape, 2x Assault by penetration,” Baker wrote.
He also confirmed that the case is scheduled for plea and trial preparation on September 15, 2026.
“There is a reporting restriction on the case provided. This order protects the anonymity of the complainant under section 1 of the Sexual Offences Amendment Act 1992,” Baker added.
The reporting restriction means information that could identify the complainant cannot be published in accordance with the court order.
Poco Lee has previously been the subject of reports concerning the case, with his management and legal team urging restraint while the legal proceedings continue.
The latest confirmation from Snaresbrook Crown Court provides details of the specific charges brought against him, while the case remains before the court.
