Osun 2026: Davido Vows To Escalate Any Election Irregularities To Trump

Davido says he will involve Trump if Osun election faces problems, demanding transparency ahead of governorship polls.

Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has warned that he would seek the intervention of United States President Donald Trump if anything goes wrong during the forthcoming Osun State governorship election.

Davido issued the warning while speaking during a live session with comedian Carter Efe, stressing that the August 15 election must be free, fair and credible.

“I will involve Trump if anything goes wrong in the Osun election,” Davido said.

The singer said he would not remain silent if the electoral process was compromised, adding that he would draw international attention to any alleged irregularities that could undermine the credibility of the poll.

His comments come ahead of the Osun State governorship election, where incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke, who is Davido’s uncle, is seeking a second term in office.

Davido has been actively campaigning for Adeleke and has repeatedly called on relevant authorities to ensure a transparent electoral process.

The singer’s intervention adds to growing public attention around the election, with stakeholders urging all actors involved to uphold peace, fairness and respect for the democratic process.
