OpenAI Forms Safety, Security Committee for Responsible AI Development

OpenAI has prioritised safety by forming a dedicated committee led by CEO Sam Altman, focusing on responsible AI development.

In a bid to prioritise safety and security in the development of its upcoming artificial intelligence model, OpenAI announced the formation of a dedicated committee on Tuesday. 

Led by CEO Sam Altman, the committee comprises esteemed directors Bret Taylor, Adam D’Angelo, and Nicole Seligman, as disclosed in a report.

The newly formed Safety and Security Committee is tasked with providing recommendations to the board concerning safety and security matters across all of OpenAI’s projects and operations. 

With the advancement of AI technology, ensuring responsible development and deployment has become paramount, driving the need for proactive measures to address potential risks and challenges.
