Nigeria’s capital market is gaining momentum, with subnational players  and traditional institutions increasingly seeking to attract private investment.

At the Nigerian Exchange, the Asagba of Asaba, Professor, Epiphany Azinge, rang the closing gong on Monday using the moment to pitch Asaba as a key investment hub.

The focus is on key sectors including real estate, hospitality, technology, and agriculture—seen as critical to driving job creation, urban expansion, and long-term economic growth, while offering investors strong return potential.

He highlighted strong market conditions and improved access to capital, positioning the city as an attractive destination for investors.

Chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group, Umaru Kwairanga, said the move could encourage more traditional institutions to engage the market, supporting Nigeria’s push towards a one trillion dollar economy under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The message is clear—Asaba is open for investment, and the focus now is turning interest into growth.
