Nigeria Declares Thursday As Additional Public Holiday For Eid -El-Fitr

In addition to Tuesday and Wednesday, Nigeria has declared Thursday a public holiday to mark the completion of Ramadan.

  Nigeria’s Federal Government on Tuesday, approved Thursday as an additional public holiday to celebrate Eid -El-Fitr.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the permanent secretary of the ministry of Interior, Aishetu Gogo Ndayako, posted on the Ministry of Interior’s X page on Tuesday.

The statement read “The Federal Government has approved Thursday 11th April, 2024 as an additional public holiday to celebrate this year’s Eid -El-Fitr.

“The Honorable minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, while congratulating the Muslims for a successful completion of a month of spiritual rejuvenation, reiterates President  Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s (GCFR) firm commitment to providing a safe and prosperous Nigeria for all to thrive.”
