An ARISE Correspondent who visited the Mbieri Divisional Police Headquarters situated in Mbaitoli Local Government Area said the attack which occurred in the early hours of Thursday has created a palpable fear within the vicinity.

Our correspondent noted that there were visible bloodstains on a part of the wall of the police station with several vehicles burnt.

While the state police command is yet to speak on the attack an indigene of Mbieri told ARISE News that the fleeing gunmen struck around 1 am and immediately released suspects in custody in the facility.
