Nicki Minaj Declares Loyalty To Trump, Says She’s His ‘No. 1 Fan’ At US Treasury Event In Washington

Nicki Minaj publicly backs President Trump in Washington, vowing support and pledging funds for children’s “Trump accounts” initiative.

Nicki Minaj has publicly thrown her support behind United States President Donald Trump, describing herself as his “No. 1 fan” and vowing not to allow him to be “bullied” by critics.

The rapper made the remarks on Wednesday in Washington, D.C., while speaking at a U.S. Treasury event celebrating the upcoming launch of government backed investment accounts for children known as “Trump accounts,” where she addressed attendees and defended the president against what she described as smear campaigns.

“I am probably the president’s No. 1 fan, and that’s not going to change,” Minaj said. “The hate or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more.”

She added that Trump’s supporters would continue to stand by him despite public criticism. “We’re not going to let them get away with bullying him and, you know, the smear campaigns. It’s not going to work,” she said. “He has a lot of force behind him, and God is protecting him.”

Minaj spoke at the event marking the rollout of the investment initiative tagged “Trump accounts.” Under the pilot programme, the federal government will deposit $1,000 into an investment account for every eligible child born between Jan. 1, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2028.

The scheme is designed to provide early financial support for children through long-term investment vehicles backed by the federal government.

In a notable shift, Minaj, who previously distanced herself from Trump, also announced financial support for the initiative. In 2020, the rapper had said she was “not gonna jump on the Trump bandwagon,” but she has now pledged to contribute between $150,000 and $300,000 to help fund the new accounts.

Her appearance and remarks signal a growing alignment with the Trump administration, as she uses her platform to defend the president and support policies aimed at youth financial inclusion.
