Liverpool were held to a 2-2 draw by Nottingham Forest at Anfield, with Víctor Muñoz scoring a late equaliser to rescue a point for the hosts.
Forest took the lead in the 24th minute when Dan Ndoye finished a swift counterattack, capitalising on Liverpool’s shaky start. Liverpool thought they had levelled through Florian Wirtz, but his effort was ruled out for offside.
The Reds eventually drew level in the 60th minute when Alexander Isak converted Cody Gakpo’s cross, but Forest regained the advantage 10 minutes later after Alisson fouled Neco Williams inside the area. Morgan Gibbs-White calmly converted the resulting penalty.
Liverpool responded with late pressure and were rewarded in the 82nd minute when Muñoz produced a spectacular strike that crashed in off the crossbar, securing a 2-2 draw on his full debut.
The result means Liverpool remain without a league victory after their opening two matches under new manager, Andoni Iraola, while Forest also continue to search for their first win of the season.
