Kogi Governor Ododo Hails Tinubu, Umahi For Commitment to Abuja-Lokoja Road Project

Kogi Governor Ododo has showered praises on President Tinubu and works minister Umahi for commitment to Abuja-Lokoja road

Governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo, has hailed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering commitment to completing the Abuja-Lokoja road reconstruction, describing the project as a testament to the President’s dedication to addressing Nigeria’s infrastructure deficit.

During an inspection visit to the Kotonkarfe axis of the road in Kogi State on Wednesday, Ododo praised the quality of work and lauded the President’s leadership style, declaring, “This is our own coalition. This is what our President is doing and we are grateful to him. This is development.”

He also praised the Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi, for overseeing a project he said would have major economic impacts.

“We appreciate Mr. President, our father, for his love for the entire people of this country. I want to appreciate the minister of works for the good job he’s doing here,” the governor said.

Highlighting the strategic importance of the road, Governor Ododo added, “This was a road in this country adjudged not to be economically viable. Today, we thank God and we thank Mr. President, and the minister because they saw it as economically viable as long as the country is concerned. This is the only road that connects the north and the south.”

Taking a swipe at critics, he remarked, “This is the only road that connects the north and the south. This is the coalition, when we’re talking about the coalition. Those people shouting coalition, ask them to define coalition. I think this is another source of livelihood.”

Governor Ododo’s comments underscore the critical role the Abuja-Lokoja corridor plays in national unity and economic integration.
