Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has extended condolences to former Governor Nasir El-Rufai and his family following the passing of their mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai.
In a statement issued on behalf of the government and people of Kaduna State, the governor described the late matriarch as a woman of rare grace, moral clarity, and quiet strength.
He noted that she lived a life defined by compassion, humility, and steadfast service, extending kindness to the vulnerable and dignity to all who encountered her. According to him, she served as a source of counsel and reconciliation within her community, nurturing unity and upholding values of faith, patience, and generosity.
Governor Sani said he stood in solidarity with the El-Rufai family during their time of grief, offering prayers for the repose of her soul.
He prayed that Almighty Allah would forgive her shortcomings, accept her righteous deeds, and grant her eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus, while also granting the family the strength to bear the loss.
