Israel informed the United States ahead of its strike on Iranian targets and has been in full coordination with Washington, according to an unnamed Israeli official quoted by state broadcaster Kan on Friday.
The official dismissed recent media reports suggesting a rift between the two allies, stating they were part of a deliberate media strategy to mislead Iran.
The comments come amid heightened regional tensions following Israel’s recent military action against Iran, which has drawn global concern over the risk of escalation. While US officials have publicly emphasised that Israel acted unilaterally, this latest revelation suggests behind-the-scenes coordination between the two allies.
Washington has yet to issue a formal response to the claims.
