In a maiden visit to Nigeria, Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has met the ‘street kids’ at Oshodi being taught chess and being given a new sense of life through the Chess in the Slum organisation.

Evra in the one-minute video shared on his Twitter handle on Saturday was all smiles as fans that repeatedly shouted ‘Evra Bus stop’ hailed him. The shared video, showed him in the heart of Lagos and precisely in Oshodi, in the company of the promoters of the Chess in the Slum organisation. He’s visit to Nigeria, is to advocate for improved welfare for children – considered as the most vulnerable members of any society. The visit is also an opportunity for the ace defender to get acquainted with West Africa, having been home to Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire and now Nigeria.

Patrice Evra, Former Manchester United defender joins us to discuss his Advocacy for Mental health & Children’s rights, his growing profile as a serial investor and of course his Football career.
