Peter Obi Holds Meetings with Atiku Abubakar, Sule Lamido

Details of Obi’s discussions with Atiku and Lamido are undisclosed, leaving room for speculation within political circles.

In a significant development, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, reportedly held a meeting with former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar in Abuja on Monday. 

Atiku disclosed this meeting through a post on his official social media handle. 

“It was my honor and privilege to host @PeterObi today. -AA,” Atiku wrote.

This meeting marks the first direct engagement between the two prominent politicians since the conclusion of the general elections last year. 

The details and agenda of their discussion remain undisclosed at the time of reporting, leaving room for speculation and anticipation within political circles.

In addition to his meeting with Atiku Abubakar, Obi also paid a visit to Sule Lamido, the former governor of Jigawa, at his residence in Abuja. 

Lamido served as the governor of Jigawa state from 2007 to 2015, bringing with him a wealth of experience and influence within Nigerian politics. 

As with the meeting with Atiku, specific details about the discussion between Peter Obi and Sule Lamido have not been made public.
