EU Cybersecurity Agency Gains Access To Anthropic And OpenAI Models

EU cybersecurity agency gains access to Anthropic and OpenAI AI models as officials assess their capabilities and potential security risks.

The European Union’s cybersecurity agency has gained access to advanced artificial intelligence models from Anthropic and OpenAI as part of ongoing testing, the European Commission said Thursday.

The European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) is currently evaluating Anthropic’s latest AI model, Mythos 5, according to a Commission spokesperson.

The agency has also been granted access to OpenAI’s newest artificial intelligence model, GPT-6-Astra, the spokesperson said.

The access will allow EU cybersecurity officials to examine the capabilities of the two advanced AI systems and assess their potential security implications.

The testing comes as European authorities continue to examine the opportunities and risks posed by increasingly capable artificial intelligence systems, particularly their potential impact on cybersecurity.

ENISA’s evaluation could provide EU officials with greater insight into how advanced AI models perform and the security challenges they may present as their capabilities continue to develop.
