For those seeking a seamless and personalised experience, the Eko Hotels Experience Curators are offering tailored itinerary planning and hands-on assistance throughout the festive period.

Dr Gbadebo encouraged families to seize the remaining window of opportunity, describing a visit to the Wonderland as the wisest gift you can give yourself and your family this Christmas.

At the press conference held on 11 November for the unveiling of the Tropical Christmas Wonderland – Kingdom of Lights Edition 2025, the Secretary of the Eko Tourism Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Tunde Lawrenson, commended Eko Hotels for its continued role in promoting Nigerian culture and tourism through the annual event. He described the hotel as “the African Disneyland.”

“Eko Hotel has gradually become the Disneyland — the African Disneyland. This is our original African Disneyland. This is us. This is who we are,” Lawrenson said. He applauded the hotel for reminding Nigerians of their cultural essence, noting that initiatives like the Tropical Christmas Wonderland reflect a renewed appreciation for the country’s creativity and heritage.

Also speaking at the unveiling, the General Manager of Eko Hotels & Suites, Danny Kioupouroglou, highlighted the unique cultural signature of the Wonderland.

“Tropical Christmas Wonderland was created to tell Christmas the African way. We usually hear Christmas from the North European or North American perspective. Here, we tell the story with an African touch,” he explained.
He added that the experience blends theatrical performances, talent-driven circus shows, music, food, and warm hospitality in a way that is both family-oriented and deeply Nigerian.

Since 2019, Tropical Christmas Wonderland has served as a unifying celebration that brings families together, offering an atmosphere of endless fun, creativity, and festive magic.

As the countdown continues, Eko Hotels’ flagship holiday spectacle stands ready to deliver joy, wonder, and unforgettable moments that will carry families into the New Year with warmth and excitement. ‎
