BUA Denies Move To Acquire 70% Of Kano Pillars Football Club, Says No Such Bid Has Been Made

BUA Group denies reports claiming it submitted a bid for 70 per cent of Kano Pillars Football Club.

BUA Group has dismissed reports claiming that it submitted a bid to acquire a 70 per cent stake in Kano Pillars Football Club, describing the publication as false and inaccurate.

In a statement issued on Monday, the company said neither it nor its chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, had made any move to acquire shares in the Kano-based club.

“Our attention has been drawn to an online publication suggesting that BUA Group and its Chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, have submitted a bid to acquire a 70% stake in Kano Pillars Football Club,” the statement said.

The company, however, rejected the claim outright, stating: “We would like to clarify that this report is inaccurate and does not reflect any position, action, or communication from BUA Group or Abdul Samad Rabiu.”

It added: “No such bid has been made, and there has been no engagement with any party on this matter.”

BUA urged the public and the media to ignore the report and rely only on information issued through its official communication channels.

“We kindly request that this report be disregarded, and we encourage the public and members of the press to rely only on official statements issued through BUA Group’s verified channels for accurate information regarding our activities,” the statement said.

The company also thanked members of the public for their continued interest in its operations and businesses.

“We appreciate the continued interest in BUA Group and thank the public for their understanding.”
