R&B icons Brandy and Monica are set to reunite for a highly anticipated joint tour, nearly three decades after their chart-topping duet ‘The Boy Is Mine’ dominated the Billboard Hot 100 for 13 consecutive weeks in 1998.
Announcing The Boy Is Mine Tour, the singers described the reunion as a long-awaited dream come true and promised fans a powerful celebration of music and unity.
“Going on tour together is a dream come true,” the pair said. “It’s not just about the song that brought us together, it’s about everything we’ve been through and where we are now as women and as artists.”
The tour, named after their Grammy-winning hit single, will showcase both artists’ individual catalogues as well as joint performances. Brandy and Monica teased that fans can expect a heartfelt and nostalgic experience.
“It’ll be a celebration of music, a celebration of womanhood,” they added. “We want to honour the journey and give our fans something truly special.”
