APC Removes Ben Murray-Bruce From Updated List of Disqualified Senatorial Aspirants

The APC has removed former Bayelsa East Senator Ben Murray-Bruce from its updated list of disqualified senatorial aspirants ahead of the party’s primaries.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released an updated list of senatorial aspirants disqualified from participating in its Senate primary elections, removing the name of former Bayelsa East Senator, Ben Murray-Bruce, from the earlier list.

The ruling party had initially published a list containing 47 aspirants who failed to scale its screening exercise conducted ahead of the 2027 general elections. However, the revised document reduced the number of affected aspirants to 44.

The updated list, signed by APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, did not provide any explanation for the removal of Murray-Bruce’s name from the disqualified category.

Other prominent aspirants who remain on the list include Rivers politician, Tein Jack-Rich; former Rivers SSG, Tammy Danagogo; Senator Banigo Ipalibo; and Oyukaye Flag-Amachree.

The APC said the screening exercise was conducted in line with the party’s internal procedures and guidelines and urged stakeholders to uphold transparency and orderliness throughout the primary election process.

The revised list cuts across several states, including Rivers, Bayelsa, Oyo, Zamfara, Nasarawa, Plateau, Taraba, Yobe, and others, as the party continues preparations for its primaries ahead of the 2027 elections.
