Ayra Starr Makes History As First African Artist To Headline NFL International Games Halftime Show

Ayra Starr makes NFL history in London, performing Rush and Heaven Baby during the Eagles-Jaguars halftime show Sunday.

Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has made history as the first African artist to headline an NFL International Games halftime show, performing at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, October 11, 2026.

The Afrobeats star took centre stage during halftime of the NFL London Game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars, delivering performances of her songs Rush and Heaven Baby.

Performing on a temporary stage set up at midfield, Ayra Starr brought Nigerian music to one of American football’s biggest international platforms.

Her appearance marks another milestone for African music, as the NFL continues to expand its international presence through regular-season games staged outside the United States.

The performance also adds to Ayra Starr’s growing international profile, placing her among the African entertainers bringing Afrobeats to audiences beyond the continent.
