Nigerian singer Asake has submitted four entries for consideration at the 2027 Grammy Awards, including his album ‘M$NEY’ and collaborations with Wizkid and DJ Snake.
His record label, Giran Republik, announced the submissions on Thursday, October 8, listing the works across categories including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best African Music Performance and Best Dance Pop Recording.
Asake’s album ‘M$NEY’ is being considered for Album of the Year and Best Global Music Album.
‘Jogodo’, his collaboration with Wizkid, has been submitted for Best African Music Performance, while ‘Gratitude’ is listed in the Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best African Music Performance categories.
‘Worship’, his collaboration with French DJ and record producer DJ Snake, is being considered for Best Dance Pop Recording.
The submissions come ahead of the 69th Grammy Awards, with first-round voting scheduled for October 12 to 22. The Recording Academy is expected to announce nominees on November 16.
The ceremony is scheduled for February 7, 2027, in Los Angeles.
Asake has received two previous Grammy nominations, both in the Best African Music Performance category. ‘Amapiano’, his collaboration with Olamide, was nominated in 2024, while ‘MMS’, featuring Wizkid, received a nomination in 2025. He did not win either award.
