Asake Celebrates Eid With New single ‘Worship’ Featuring DJ Snake

Asake releases “Wordhip” with DJ Snake on Eid, blending Afrobeats and EDM as the track surges globally.

Nigerian music star Asake has unveiled a new single, “Worship,” featuring French-Algerian producer DJ Snake, marking a surprise release that coincides with Eid celebrations and signals another global step in his career.

The track was released on Friday, March 20, 2026, following its initial live debut during the Red Bull Symphonic performance in the United States in late 2025, where Asake became the first African artist to headline the orchestral showcase.

“Worship” blends Fuji inspired Afrobeats with electronic dance elements, creating a layered, high energy sound rooted in themes of gratitude, resilience, and spirituality.

Asake soulfully delivers lyrics that serve as the song’s emotional and spiritual anchor, singing, “even in darkness, even in brightness, you are with me.”

Speaking on the collaboration, Asake said, “Working with DJ Snake allowed us to create a song that feels universal. It represents the energy we feel when we connect to something greater than ourselves. I wanted the video to let the music speak for itself.”

DJ Snake also reflected on the creative process, saying, “The track communicates how we both feel right now. Same energy. Asake came with the vibe he’s known for, and I didn’t want to overthink it. We just made something honest, something people can feel everywhere,” he added.

The song’s release has begun gaining traction across streaming platforms, with listeners responding to its fusion of African and global sounds.

The collaboration marks another milestone for Asake, who continues to expand his reach internationally while maintaining elements of his Yoruba musical identity.

By working with DJ Snake, the singer aligns with a global audience, reflecting the increasing influence of African music on international stages and festivals.

“Worship” highlights the growing trend of cross continental collaborations, combining cultural authenticity with global production standards to create music that resonates across different audiences.

With its themes of gratitude and spiritual reflection, alongside polished production, the track stands out as one of the notable releases of the first quarter of 2026.
