ARISE News Bags Most Engaging TV Channel At Social Media Awards

ARISE News was on Sunday night honoured at the Social Media Awards 2023, with the award of “Most Engaging TV Channel” on social media.Held at the Eko Hotels & Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos, organisers said the award serves as evidence of the network’s dedication to delivering high-quality content and nurturing a strong bond with its audience.

Receiving the award on behalf of network were ARISE News Digital Editor, Demola Ojo; Deputy Director of News, Ohi Odiai and social media producer Eloho Otugo.

The digital media team continues to maintain an interactive online presence committed to delivering 24-hour news across the website – ARISE.tv – and social media platforms; ARISEtv on X, formerly Twitter; AriseNewsChannel on Youtube; arisenewsofficial on Instagram and Arise News on Facebook.

Demola Ojo used the medium to appreciate and commend all ARISE News staff for the strides made across both broadcast and digital.

This he said  includes anchors, editors, producers, directors, engineers, cameramen and social media managers among others, stating that “it’s everybody’s win.”

He said, “This is recognition for the great work everybody at ARISE is doing.

“We reach our audience, not just via broadcast, but we have a huge digital media presence,” he said while reiterating that the channel is streamed live across digital platforms. 

“The win is especially for the man with the vision, Prince Nduka Obaigbena, who inspires us to report facts, without fear or favour,” Ojo said. 

The award – in its first edition – has the goal of recognizing both individuals and entities that employ social media in creative and influential manners.

It also seeks to commemorate the outstanding contributions made across a range of social media platforms.

ARISE News also recently received the prestigious accolade of Television Station of the Year from the Broadcasting Organizations of Nigeria (BON), a prominent coalition of broadcasters in Nigeria.
