Ariana Grande Teases ‘Hate That I Made You Love Me’ Video Featuring Justin Long

Ariana Grande unveils eerie teaser featuring Justin Long ahead of upcoming single from her new album, Petal.

Ariana Grande has released a teaser for the music video of her upcoming single, Hate That I Made You Love Me, featuring actor Justin Long.

The short clip, shared on Wednesday, opens with Long driving a car before noticing Grande staring back at him through the rear-view mirror as the song’s dark, trap-inspired beat intensifies.

The teaser ends with the single’s title appearing in a yellow font styled after posters from the 1986 thriller The Hitcher.

Grande also tagged longtime collaborator Christian Breslauer, who directed her award-winning Bright Days Ahead short film in 2025.

Long’s appearance continues Grande’s tradition of featuring well-known actors in her music videos.

Jonathan Bennett appeared in Thank U, Next in 2019, while Charles Melton featured in Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored in 2020.

More recently, Penn Badgley starred in The Boy Is Mine, while Evan Peters appeared in We Can’t Be Friends in 2024.

Hate That I Made You Love Me is the lead single from Grande’s upcoming eighth studio album, Petal.

The project, executive produced by Grande and ILYA, will be her first studio album since appearing in Wicked and its sequel Wicked: For Good.

Grande’s previous album, Eternal Sunshine, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 in 2024 and produced chart-topping singles including Yes, And? and We Can’t Be Friends.

The album later returned to the top of the chart following the release of its Brighter Days Ahead deluxe edition.

Petal is scheduled for release on July 31 during Grande’s 41-date Eternal Sunshine Tour, which begins on June 6 in California before continuing across North America and Europe.
