All Living US Presidents Gather at the Capitol for Trump’s Inauguration

Two weeks after Jimmy Carter’s funeral, all living US presidents gather for Trump’s swearing-in, entering the Capitol in chronological order.

Two weeks after the solemn funeral of former President Jimmy Carter, all living US presidents have come together once again for a momentous occasion which is the swearing-in of Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States.

In a dramatic display of American history, the nation’s most exclusive political club entered the Capitol one by one, in chronological order of their presidencies.

This rare gathering of past presidents, each with their own legacy, added weight and significance to the inauguration, which marks Trump’s return to the presidency for a second term.

Notably, Michelle Obama, the former first lady and wife of President Barack Obama, was the only former first lady not in attendance at the ceremony.

Trump’s inauguration comes after a politically charged transition period, and his arrival at the Capitol signals the beginning of a new chapter for the country, with significant executive actions expected in the hours to follow.
