Aiyedatiwa Sacks All Aides, Unveils Plan to Hire 1,000

Ondo Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has sacked all political aides, announcing plans to appoint about 1,000 new officials.

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has dismissed all political aides in a sweeping restructuring of his administration.

The decision, which takes immediate effect, affects all Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants, effectively dissolving the existing structure of political aides in the state government.

The development was announced in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan.

According to the statement, the move is part of efforts to enhance efficiency and improve service delivery across the state.

“In the ongoing drive to enhance efficiency and deepen service delivery, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has relieved all political aides of their duties with immediate effect,” the statement said.

While acknowledging the contributions of the affected aides, the governor wished them well in their future endeavours.

He, however, revealed plans to appoint about 1,000 new aides to strengthen coordination and inject fresh capacity into the administration.

The statement noted that the new appointees will be drawn from the 203 wards across the 18 local government areas of the state.

The move signals a major restructuring aimed at repositioning the administration for improved governance and service delivery.
