The Managing Director and CEO of Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority says last year’s market performance were “very strong” and surpassed expectations despite the Covid-19 pandemic.

Uche Orji listed investments in international equity, private equity and direct investments in international markets as some reasons the agency’s 2020 Financial Statement fared better than expected.

Core earnings more than tripled since 2019, and almost all asset classes offered positive returns on investment.
