In Niger State, 100 students of the Saint Mary’s Catholic School regained their freedom from abductors, with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu commending security agencies for their work. The students were received by Governor Umaru Bago at the Government House after spending two weeks in captivity.
Online, some questioned how the students were returned without the announcement of corresponding arrests.
Meanwhile, the Christian Association of Nigeria in a statement said it had not received official notification regarding the release of the students, raising questions about coordination between security agencies and key stakeholders in the release process.

Moore made the comments after meeting with National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu in Abuja. In addition, Moore met with Benue State religious and traditional leaders to discuss ongoing violence in the Middle Belt region.
